Kate Douglas is an Australian artist painting highly detailed reproductions of how she sees the world. She is known for her labour intensive artworks with unique compositions and viewpoints. Intimate glimpses of nature and reminders of bygone days are recurring subjects, reflecting her focus on environment and preservation.
Kate has exhibited throughout Australia at venues including the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts, Logan Art Gallery, Redcliffe Art Gallery and Gippsland Art Gallery. Her artwork features in several public collections including Queensland Health and Ipswich Art Gallery.
